These terms apply to all private Chichen Itza tours booked through chichenitzaprivatetour.com or via WhatsApp at +1 (970) 780-8327. Sending your 50% deposit confirms you have read and accepted these terms.
1. What We Offer
One private Chichen Itza tour, two options. Standard and Premium. Both are 100% private, your group only, zero strangers, your vehicle, your guide.
We are direct operators. No middlemen, no OTA commissions, no markup. You book directly with us and pay directly to your guide. That is why our pricing is structured the way it is.

2. Bookings
A booking is confirmed when:
- You receive written confirmation via WhatsApp
- Your 50% deposit is received
To book you must provide: number of travelers, hotel name, departure city (Cancun, Tulum, or Playa del Carmen), and your WhatsApp number.
Lead booker must be 18 or older. Prices are in USD and are subject to change until confirmed in writing.
3. Payment
- 50% deposit confirms and holds your date
- Remaining 50% paid to your guide on the morning of your tour
- Accepted: bank transfer, credit card, cash in USD or MXN
- We do not store card details
The deposit is per group, not per person. One private vehicle. One group. Your day.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Our full cancellation terms are on the cancellation and refund policy page. Summary:
- Cancel 72+ hours before: full refund
- Cancel 24 to 72 hours before: 50% refund
- Cancel under 24 hours: no refund
- No-show: no refund
- We cancel: full refund or free reschedule
5. What Is Included
Both tours include:
- 100% private, your group only
- Private AC vehicle, Ertiga, Avanza, or Sprinter based on group size
- Hotel pickup and drop-off from your hotel door, no meeting points
- Certified bilingual guide, English or Spanish
- Chichen Itza entrance ticket (2026 rate included)
- Cenote swim with life jacket
- Meal included
- Bottled water throughout the day
Standard tour specific: 6:30 AM pickup. Arrives Chichen Itza 8:30 AM. Cenote Nool Ha (open cenote, life jacket, 1 hour). Regional Mayan village buffet. Optional Valladolid stop. Return by 5:00 PM.
Premium tour specific: 6:00 AM pickup. Early access before general public entry. Hidden cave cenote (about 1.5 hours). Authentic Mayan meal at El Patio de Mi Casa. Private return to hotel. No Valladolid stop.
Not included in either tour: alcohol, souvenirs, tips, personal expenses.
6. What to Bring
- Comfortable closed shoes, gravel paths, not sandals
- Hat, sunglasses, and light sun-protective clothing
- Swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes for the cenote
- Biodegradable insect repellent, required at natural cenotes
- Camera and extra cash for vendors outside the site
7. On the Day
Be ready at your hotel entrance at your confirmed pickup time. We pick up from your hotel door, no shared stops, no waiting for other passengers.
At Chichen Itza:
- Follow all guide instructions at all times
- Climbing El Castillo is prohibited by Mexican law and INAH site rules
- Life jackets provided and required at the cenote for all swimmers
- Children under 4 do not require a paid tour spot, must be with an adult
- The Valladolid stop on the Standard tour is optional, skip it by request on the day
8. Health and Participation
The full day involves 2 to 3 kilometers of walking on uneven gravel paths in open sun. Temperatures regularly exceed 30°C by midday.
If you have medical conditions, mobility limitations, or are pregnant, inform us at booking. We will advise on suitability and can adjust where possible.
Travel insurance is recommended for all participants.
9. Itinerary Changes
We may adjust the itinerary due to weather, road conditions, site closures, or safety concerns. We notify you by WhatsApp as early as possible. Alternatives are provided at no extra charge when changes are outside our control.
10. Liability
We organize and operate private Chichen Itza tours directly. We select all guides, coordinate all vehicles, and manage all logistics.
We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage from circumstances outside our direct control, including conditions at the Chichen Itza archaeological site or natural cenotes.
Our total liability does not exceed the total amount paid for your tour.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for tours that cannot operate due to hurricanes, extreme weather, government restrictions, road closures, or INAH closure of Chichen Itza.
In all force majeure situations: full refund or free reschedule, your choice.
12. Privacy
We collect only what is needed to arrange your tour: name, WhatsApp number, hotel name, and group size. We do not share this with any third parties outside direct tour logistics.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
